Get the Skills to Be a Cosmetology Professional
in 13 Months
The Cosmetology Program provides the hands-on training, practical salon experience and industry support it takes to become a highly-skilled beauty professional.
In addition to the art and science of cosmetology, this program provides practical instruction in salon management. You’ll enter the field ready to build a successful career.
- Cutting & Styling Hair
- Chemical Treatments: highlights, lowlights, color, perms and relaxers
- Nail Treatments: manicures, pedicures, nail tip application, acrylics, gels and wraps
- Relaxation Massage

- Beauty Industry Business Practices
Daytime Classes run Tuesday – Friday, with three potential schedules to choose from:
- 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.: Complete in 16.5 Months
- 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.: Complete in 14.5 Months
- 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.: Complete in 13 Months
Classes start on the first and third Tuesdays of each month.
Evening Cosmetology classes are offered at the Niles campus location only, Tuesday – Thursday:
- 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.: Complete in 28 Months
All Cosmetology students, day and evening, are required to complete 16 hours of Saturday attendance each month.

Use Your Cosmetology License to Reduce the Barber Training Program by 44.44%
You can get trained to become a barber in 44.44% less time if you already have a cosmetology license. The Barber Program—only 1000 hours in length for students with a Cosmetology License—will allow you to develop a set of skills you can use to serve more clients. Hands-On Training with Real Clients in a Working Salon
Cosmetology is a hands-on field and at Raphael’s School of Beauty we believe that’s how it should be taught. As a Cosmetology student you’ll work with real clients in our professional, on-site student salon, providing a wide range of services under the guidance of an instructor.
You’ll feel comfortable moving into any salon setting after gaining hands-on, real-world experience before you graduate.

Work with Professional Product Lines
Raphael’s students are trained with many top salon quality product lines including CND, Paul Mitchell, Matrix, Sebastian and more; this way you are able to experience a wide range of products that you will use in your career.
Cosmetology & Managers Kit
This is what you will receive as a managing cosmetology student. On the first day of school students receive a starter kit, books, apron, and nametag. During Nail Week, the student will receive their CND nail kit. When the student reaches 300 hours of attendance, they will receive their iPad and Milady access codes. At 600 hours of attendance, they will receive the Glo-Minerals mineral make-up kit. At 900 hours attendance, the students will receive a Manikin for their Mock exam. After the student passes all areas of their mock exam, they will then receive their Grad kit.
As a successful graduate of this program, you’ll be fully-prepared to take the Ohio State Board of Cosmetology licensing exam to become a Licensed Managing Cosmetologist.
